A piece of Asia
The Chinese Pavilion in Bruxelles, together with the Japonese tower, is one of the most exotic site to visit. Built by king Leopold II, at the beginning of the XXth century, they now form the Extreme Orient Museums.

Stars of Europe Concert at Atomium
Around 60,000 people gathered at the Atomium on Saturday night at the huge concert Stars of Europe, organized to celebrate 50 years of European Union. Stars like Scorpions, Zucherro, Las Ketchup, Gipsy Kings, Kim Wilde, Lou Bega, Nana Mouskouri and many others sang for Europe. The concert made a musical tour and remembered those present music from the last 50 years. The concert was broadcast live on 56 european TV channels and on the american CBS.
The Royal Family was also present, together with chiefs of states from the EU. The fireworks at the end of the concert (around 23.30) were dedicated to the Belgian Royal Family.

Exhibition for 50 years of EU
The European Council in Bruxelles opened a complex exposition, with photographies, documents, but also original picks like a piece of the Berlin Wall, to celebrate the 50 years anniversary of the Treaty of Rome. The exposition, named E la nave va..., intended to give a whole image of the difficult process the European Union needed to reach the stage it is today.

In Bruxelles, the european insitutions celebrate the anniversary of 50 years since the Treaty of Rome, that led to the European Union as it is today.

Parc du Cinquantenaire
When there is a sunny day in Brussel, people go to parcs, eat icecream and gauffres (waffles) and make their best to enjoy the most the sunny weather... As most of the time is rainy.
Here, have a glance at Parc du Cinquantenaire.The parc is near Schuman Rond Point, near to the european institutions and to the european quartier in Brussel. Parc du Cinquantenaire was built to celebrate 50 years of royalty in Belgium. Here, there are museums:
Royal Museum of Art and History, Royal Museum of Army and Military History and Autoworld Brussels, where you can see a history of the automobile, in 400 exponats, that are part of Ghislain Mahy collection.
